In the Neuchâtel Region, sunny days are settling in… and local flavours can be enjoyed both in the glass and on the plate.
June shines a spotlight on two emblematic events celebrating Neuchâtel’s heritage:
- Absinthe en Fête, taking place on June 13, celebrates the legendary Green Fairy in the heart of Val-de-Travers, the historic birthplace of absinthe. Tastings, encounters and a convivial atmosphere set the tone for this day dedicated to a unique local savoir-faire.
- On June 18, the Neuchâtel wine region celebrates the 165th anniversary of the Œil de Perdrix. This emblematic rosé wine, born in Neuchâtel and renowned far beyond the cantonal borders, will unveil a new transparent bottle for the occasion and will also be celebrated through a cocktail competition.
To extend the culinary experience, Neuchâtel Tourisme’s Food Tours invite visitors to savour the region in a different way all year round:
- Food Tour Neuchâtel: four gourmet stops between the lakeside and the Belle Époque old town
- Food Tour La Chaux-de-Fonds: regional tastings and an immersion into Art Nouveau
