Museums and Castle
The second city of the canton of Vaud, Yverdon-les-Bains will astonish you with its diversity. Located in the heart of the city, its castle houses the Museum of Yverdon and the Swiss Fashion Museum. The Maison d'Ailleurs, a museum dedicated to science fiction and extraordinary journeys, and the Centre d'Art Contemporain (CACY) are just some of the sights to be seen on Place Pestalozzi, one of French-speaking Switzerland’s most attractive paved squares.Outdoor activities
Go for a stroll along the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, just a stone's throw from the historic centre of Yverdon-les-Bains. Discover fine sandy beaches, a line of 45 standing stones or the largest lakeside marsh in Switzerland, the Grande Cariçaie. The Pro Natura Centre in Champ-Pittet showcases the richness of this natural reserve, which is home to a quarter of Switzerland's fauna and flora.
Heritage
Situated in the centre of the town, the castle at Yverdon-les-Bains was built by Peter, Count of Savoy in the 13th century as a defensive construction and a stately residence. It now houses the Yverdon and region museum, the Swiss Fashion Museum and the Centre Pestalozzi.
