The Twannbach Gorge is closed until spring 2027.

Due to the exceptional drought, the hiking trail through the Twannbach Gorge is closed for safety reasons from 21 August 2026 until spring 2027.
But there are still plenty of ways to enjoy autumn on foot: two beautiful alternative routes take you through colourful autumn forests, across Twannberg and through the vineyards down to Lake Biel. Discover the two hikes to Twann and Ligerz below and enjoy the beauty of autumn around Lake Biel.
