Fun & Adventure

Familiy activities

In summer or in winter, on foot, by bike or in the water, indoors or outdoors, for young and old, for fun, for fear or for exercise, Jura & Trois-Lacs offers a host of activities for families.

Jura & Three-Lakes is a hiking and biking paradise with many well-marked routes that criss-cross the region and offer a wide range of excursions for the whole family.

The walks along the Jura mountain chain take you through fir trees and pastures or along rivers and gorges, and often offer magnificent views. Contemplating a gentian, building a tree house, watching chamois, then stopping for a picnic in a forest shelter. In the evening, everyone will fall asleep with a smile.

The shores of Lake Biel, Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Murten are accessible to everyone, pedestrians and cyclists. You can cycle around in several stages, but you may also decide to shorten the itinerary by taking the boat (free transport of bicycles on lakes Neuchâtel and Morat). These stages, as well as suggestions for family accommodation and activities, are presented below.

The weather doesn't allow for outdoor activities? No problem: discover former asphalt mines, learn to make your own Torino, become a glass blower or a butterfly specialist, or have a blast in a room full of trampolines!

GOOD TO KNOW

From 1 night in the cantons of Neuchâtel or Jura, public transport is free and many activities are offered free of charge or at reduced prices. Book your stay now! For more information: JURA-PASS and Neuchâtel Tourist Card
