From Magglingen, the hike leads via Twannberg and Gaicht through forests and vineyards down to Twann on Lake Biel.

High above Lake Biel, this varied hike begins in Magglingen. The trail leads through forests towards Twannberg and via Gaicht, gradually descending towards the lake. Along the way, beautiful views open up over Lake Biel and the Seeland region. On clear days, the panorama extends as far as the Bernese Alps.

The final section of the hike is particularly atmospheric: the trail winds through the vineyards down to the winegrowing village of Twann, with Lake Biel drawing ever closer.
Once in Twann, round off the day with a boat trip on Lake Biel. From the water, the landscape you have just explored reveals itself from a new perspective – from the wooded hills and vineyards to the lakeshore.
