What makes a mechanical watch tick? How can tiny components measure time with such precision?
In this introductory workshop, the watchmaker and instructor invites you to explore the inner workings of a mechanical watch movement. Through clear explanations and a closer look at its individual components, you will discover the role played by gears, springs and the many other parts that work together to keep a watch running.
Far from being a purely theoretical lesson, this is a hands-on introduction to the art of watchmaking. You will examine the mechanisms up close, gain insight into the watchmaker’s craft and discover the ingenuity behind an object we wear every day, often without knowing the secrets it holds.
Whether you are a watch enthusiast, naturally curious or simply keen to learn more about this traditional craft, this workshop offers an introduction to a world where technical skill, precision and patience go hand in hand.
