For two days, we will walk at the pace of the yaks.
Powerful and silent, they move calmly through the landscapes of the Neuchâtel mountains.
Once the caravan is underway, we take our time.
Time to breathe, observe, and share a moment with these peaceful and impressive animals.
In spring, the yaks leave their winter pastures to move to their summer grazing grounds.
We will have the opportunity to accompany part of this crossing.
Saturday, April 18
La Sagne → Tête de Ran – approximately 11 km
Meeting with the yak herd and preparing three yaks to carry our sleeping bags and mattresses.
We then set off on a beautiful hike to Tête de Ran, where we spend the night in a lodge and share the evening meal.
Sunday, April 19
Tête de Ran → Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane – approximately 10 km
After breakfast, we resume our hike towards Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane.
In the early afternoon, we share a delicious meal before arriving at Les Splayes, the first pasture to welcome yaks in the Neuchâtel region, on May 16, 2024.
