Torino chocolate cake

Torino chocolate cake - Camille Bloch


  • 220g butter
  • 220g sugar
  • 220g milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 200g ground almonds
  • 270g plain flour
  • 1/2 sachet baking powder
  • 100g Torino chocolate
  • 15g cocoa powder
  • 10 Torino chocolate sticks (branches)
  • (optional : 5 Torino chocolate sticks for glaze)


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
  2. Beat together the butter and sugar
  3. Beat together the eggs and milk
  4. Mix together the ground almonds, flour, baking powder and cocoa powder
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg and milk mixture
  6. Mix in the beaten butter and sugar
  7. Add the Torino chocolate
  8. Put some of the mixture into a heart-shaped mould (22x22), add chocolate sticks, cover with more mixture, add more sticks and cover again with mixture
  9. Bake for 15 minutes at 180°C then 30 minutes at 165°C
  10. (optional : 10. Glaze with melted Torino chocolate)
