Pearl of the Jura

The Saint-Jean Népomucène bridge, renovated in 2016, and three gates are the only access ways to the old town. Lovingly called the “Pearl of the Jura”, the town boasts a remarkable historic heritage, including the collegiate church and cloister dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, respectively.

Numerous art galleries and antique shops line the town’s streets, and a medieval garden invites you to discover formerly used medicinal plants and vegetable patches.

Tours of the town

You have various options for exploring the town. Group guided tours lasting an hour or 90 minutes can be arranged if booked in advance or, for an experience a bit more out of the ordinary, the Secret circuit lets you discover the town’s hidden places all by yourself armed with a digital key. Meanwhile, for the food lovers amongst you, the Secret Gourmet Tour combines the same off-the-beaten-track trip round town with numerous stop-offs to sample the local cuisine.

Activities in the heart of nature

An ideal starting point for a number of nature outings, the region offers a wide variety of activities such as hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing  or paragliding.
