La Nef is a cultural centre dedicated to present-day art.
La Nef is a cultural association founded in 2008 which invites the visitors to take a stroll through the world of contemporary art, and aims to promote artistic creation.
Each year, the committee organises several exhibitions in the former church of Le Noirmont (JU), a peaceful village with late Gothic architecture (1400-1550), which encourages the resonance of current works and their resulting discussion. A place where different visions of the world come together and where we constantly rethink our convictions. A place where we experience different sensations that need to be interpreted in order to grasp the full meaning and richness of contemporary art.
Throughout the year, works by well-known artists are shown in this exceptional space. The exhibitions are specially adapted to the church building and combine different techniques (installation, video, photography, painting, etc.) in response to the theme chosen by the committee. In recent years, however, La Nef has begun to diversify its activities and to include other places in the region.
