With a base dating from the 10th century, the tower is regarded as one of the city's oldest buildings. From the top of the tower, you'll enjoy stunning views of the city, Lake Neuchâtel and the Alps.

- Maximum 20 people per hour
- The tour covers all six floors of the tower and includes steep, narrow stairs that are not suitable for people with reduced mobility or for children under 6 years old
- The lift leading to the prison tower is open every day from 6.30am to 7pm and until 8.30pm on Thursdays. Entrances on Rue de l'Evole (opposite No. 13) and Rue Jehanne-de-Hochberg 3
- Access to the medieval tower may be temporarily closed for safety reasons. If you wish to visit the tower, we recommend contacting us by email beforehand to check whether it is accessible. Thank you for your understanding
