SUBLIME IDYLLE – AD Festival

Inspired by the love story of Clara and Robert Schumann, Sublime Idylle invites audiences into the intimate world of one of the most remarkable artistic couples of the Romantic era.

Through excerpts from their correspondence, Jean-Pierre Milovanoff's Clara Plays for Robert, and Robert Schumann's celebrated Advice for Young Musicians, literature and music come together in a deeply poetic dialogue. The texts are interwoven with works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms.

Blending spoken word and music, this performance celebrates love, creativity and inspiration, revealing the enduring power of an artistic dialogue that transcends time.
