Grande torrée neuchâteloise

This autumn, the City of Neuchâtel invites everyone to enjoy a truly Neuchâtel-style experience at Chaumont. On Sunday, 25 October 2026, a large torrée will bring together families, friends and lovers of tradition around five fires prepared since dawn. The programme includes Neuchâtel IGP saucissons cooked under the embers, local produce, entertainment and music in a festive and convivial atmosphere.

To suit everyone, two options are available: a classic option with Neuchâtel IGP saucisson and a vegetarian option with Neuchâtel tomme cheese.

The meal bags also contain fresh bread from the local baker, Gruyère AOP, Pinot Noir (5 dl) or grape juice, water, apples and artisanal chocolate. However, no disposable tableware will be provided. Please bring your own cutlery, plates and glasses. Also remember to pack your favourite picnic blanket so that you can make yourself comfortable in the pasture.

We strongly encourage you to travel to Chaumont by public transport. The journey is completely free of charge (zones 10 and 11 of Onde Verte) and is included in your booking. Simply present your booking confirmation, which will serve as a valid travel ticket for your journey.

MEETING POINT:

From 10:30 a.m. at Montagne de Chaumont (field located 400 metres from the funicular), signs will be in place to show you the way.

Saucisson cooking time: between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
