The hiking trail links the resort of Les Rasses to the hamlet of Les Cluds, a mecca for winter activities in the region. The exceptional views of the Alps, from the Eiger to Mont Blanc, make this walk a memorable experience.
This winter hike offers spectacular views of Mont Blanc and the snow-capped mountains of the Swiss and French Alps.
At the foot of the Chasseron and perched at an altitude of over 1,200 metres, this route starts at the Les Rasses station and crosses snow-covered pastures to the hamlet of Les Cluds. In the middle of the route, walkers will find a panoramic table where they can identify peaks such as the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Dents du Midi and Mont-Blanc.
The smell of hot chocolate attracts winter walkers to one of the restaurants set up at the start and finish of the walk. The resort of Sainte-Croix / Les Rasses has been famous since the late 19th century for a wide range of winter sports, including downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking. Les Rasses offers 500 parking spaces and is accessible by public transport from Sainte-Croix. So it's easy to get there and recharge your batteries along this scenic, family-friendly route.
