From La Neuveville to Le Landeron across the border between the cantons of Bern and Neuchâtel

A small village of 3700 souls on Lake Biel, La Neuveville offers everything you are bound to love, all packed into a restricted area - exceptional scenery shaped by the lake’s shoreline and mountains, vineyards and medieval settlements, welcoming terraces and beautiful cellars beckoning you in.

And the list does not stop there - towers, open-air streams, alleyways and monumental fountains distinguish this tiny medieval city with its painted houses snuggling one against the other between the lake and the mountains. A rich gastronomic tradition is also alive and well here thanks to the wealth of local products.

The next stage of our tour round Switzerland’s most beautiful villages is a short one as it takes us to the neighbouring village of Le Landeron.
