This historical gem has been converted into a production site for delicatessen foods.

The Verdan barn was erected before 1819 and is therefore one of the oldest buildings in the Biel lake suburb. With its high cellar, the building served as a textile printing workshop up to 1830 and then as a wine cellar and artist studio. After standing empty for more than 40 years, it was freshly renovated in 2019 and is now home to a veritable little world of pleasures. During the tour you will discover among other things the historical building, a beer brewery, a nut roastery, a distillery and honey-making. At Atelier Verdan, you will find out about the difference between a dark beer and an India pale ale, as well as how we actually make our much-loved coffee.
