At first, the « Cave de Berne » was owned by the monastery of Bellelay, where it was used for the vinification and preservation of the wine. The building was built in 1631.

"We were all together, my former colleagues and I, in La Neuveville. After having spent the day visiting the city and the region, we headed to La Cave de Berne (wine cellar) of La Neuveville to enjoy an aperitif well deserved. When we came in, everybody just stood there stunned. Not only was this wine cellar huge, but the design reminded us of the past in a beautiful way. It is in this nice atmosphere that we got served a delicious regional Chasselas wine and plates filled with typical smoked meat and mountain cheese. An unforgettable experience I would recommend to all."
