GLANDON Rooms Elite

Rich in history, GLANDON Rooms «Elite» (formerly known as the Art Déco Hotel Elite) is located in the centre of Biel, the city of watchmaking and communication. The historic building combines its distinctive Art Deco architecture with contemporary comfort.

The hotel features 38 rooms and 3 suites. The building also houses several independently run establishments, including the Italian restaurant L’Osteria on the ground floor, a fitness and wellness centre, and the gourmet rooftop restaurant Repas on the sixth floor, offering views over the city.

Built between 1929 and 1931, the Elite still shapes the city centre around General-Guisan-Platz together with the neighbouring Volkshaus.

Today, the house reflects a blend of tradition and modern operations: self check-in allows flexible arrivals, while staff remain on site to personally assist guests. In 2026, the rooms were further upgraded, including high-quality beds and mattresses from the Swiss company Möbel Tanner, modern interiors with warm wooden floors, fresh colours and furniture, as well as new Smart TV solutions.
