The funicular bring the visitors high above Biel.
Leaving Biel the funicular take you to the hights. Magglingen offers a splendid view from the Weissenstein to Lake Morat and the alpine range. Once you arrive at the top, you should certainly take the time to enjoy the view of Biel/Bienne and Lake Biel from the platform at the Federal Office of Sport.

- The Macolin funicular will be out of service from 6 to 17 July 2026. During this period, passengers can use the Evilard funicular and bus route 79, which provides a replacement service between Evilard and Macolin.
- Departures every 15 minutes
- Tickets available from ticket machines (cash or card payment)
- Ideal for accessing the BielTrail
- Magglingen is a perfect starting point for numerous hikes
