On the southern shore of Lake Neuchâtel, Cheyres Vineyard invites visitors to discover local AOC wines, follow its educational wine trail and meet the region’s winegrowers.

Between Lake Neuchâtel and the slopes of Cheyres, the vineyard covers around 14 hectares. Located entirely in the canton of Fribourg, it is the only vineyard on the lake’s southern shore. The lake and surrounding hills create a microclimate well suited to growing grapes.
The wine trail winds through the vines and the village. Its information panels introduce the work of winegrowers throughout the seasons, the vineyard’s history and its grape varieties. Along the way, visitors can enjoy views of Lake Neuchâtel and the Jura mountains.
A visit to the Cave de Cheyres offers a chance to continue the discovery with a tasting. Chasselas, Pinot Noir and other Cheyres AOC wines provide an introduction to local winemaking.
