In Agiez, Cave Mirabilis tends its vineyards with care and produces wines from various terroirs and grape varieties in the Côtes de l’Orbe.
Cave Mirabilis is a 7.5-hectare family-run estate situated in Agiez. The vineyards stretch across the communes of Agiez, Montcherand, Orbe, Rances and Valeyres-sous-Rances, allowing the grape varieties to be adapted to the different terroirs of the Côtes de l’Orbe.
Work in the vineyards and the grape harvest are carried out by hand. Cultivation relies in particular on a high planting density and strict yield control. The estate cultivates a wide range of grape varieties, including Chasselas, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Gamaret, Garanoir, Galotta, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
As a winemaker and producer, Pierre-Yves Poget oversees the winemaking and marketing of the estate’s wines. The range includes white, rosé and red wines, as well as several barrel-aged cuvées.
The tasting room, which can accommodate 50 people, welcomes visitors on Saturday mornings from 10.00 to 12.00 or by appointment.
