As part of its 2026 tour, the National Youth Wind Orchestra NJBO will be making two stops in Biel: on Saturday, 18 July at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, 19 July at 5:00 p.m., the young ensemble will perform at Theater Nebia. The National Youth Wind Orchestra brings together talented young musicians from all over Switzerland and offers them the opportunity to make music together at the highest level. Under the direction of Sandro Blank, the NJBO presents an ambitious and emotionally rich programme featuring works by American composers. The programme includes Festival Variations by Claude T. Smith, Elegy by John Barnes Chance, Masks and Machines by Paul Dooley, and the impressive Symphony No. 4 by David Maslanka. The works showcase the full range of symphonic wind music: energetic, rich in tonal colour, rhythmically precise and deeply moving. The NJBO thus offers its audience a concert experience that will appeal both to connoisseurs of wind music and to curious concertgoers alike. Come in large numbers and support our talented young musicians!
