Eva Diallo, Bolol 2025

For the exhibition Bolol, 2025, Eva Diallo and curator Julie Bonzon present an installation combining large-format metal plates, originally etched for the book’s printing process, with selected photographs, aerial views of landscapes and territories. Carefully preserved by Eva as memorabilia, these plates become poetic objects that invite viewers to contemplate their material presence, oscillating between trace, visibility, and erasure. Alongside the plates’ ghostly surfaces, the accompanying photographic assemblage hovers at the edge of revelation and concealment, evoking the fleeting nature of images, the passage of time, and the metaphor of the journey.
