In the heart of Biel/Bienne, the Cité du Temps brings together the Swatch and OMEGA museums in an innovative space where visitors dive into two fascinating watchmaking worlds.
Within the light-filled architecture designed by Shigeru Ban, the Cité du Temps houses two complementary museums that reflect the spirit of innovation of the two Biel-based brands. Blending elegance, creativity and immersive experiences, each space invites visitors on a captivating journey.
The OMEGA Museum traces over 170 years of history, shaped by Swiss precision, space exploration and major human achievements. A 360° film, Olympic timekeeping technologies, a giant Speedmaster and the watches worn by Agent 007 in the James Bond films all showcase the brand’s craftsmanship.
Downstairs, Planet Swatch reveals the colourful and bold universe of the iconic brand born in the 1980s. Through a gallery of over a thousand watches, the exhibition retraces key moments in design, the rise of pop culture icons and the free-spirited vision that brought new life to Swiss watchmaking.
