Music is emotion and knows no boundaries – neither political, religious nor linguistic.
Kultur für Lengnau aims to bring world-class talent to our village, facilitate encounters between big stars and the local population, and create an event that can compete with the major centres in terms of quality – but is unpretentious, accessible to the general public and appeals to different generations.
Swiss violinist Esther Hoppe pursues a varied international career as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher.
After studying in Basel, Philadelphia and London, she won first prize at the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg in 2002. As a violinist with the Tecchler Trio (2003-2011), she won numerous other prizes, including first prize at the International ARD Competition in Munich.
Ronald Brautigam is one of the leading pianists of his generation and one of the few who plays both modern and historical instruments at the highest level. As a student of the legendary Rudolf Serkin, he has established himself over the years as an authority in the field of classical and early Romantic repertoire.
The artists performing in Lengnau are not only world stars, but are also selected for their communicative and mediating talents. Thanks to their witty and colourful presentations and commentary, the audience is able to absorb the music particularly intensely and experience the artists at an unusually close proximity. In this way, culture in Lengnau creates unforgettable experiences that connect people of all generations and remain in their memories for a long time to come.
