Christmas Village

Come and experience the magic of the Avenches Christmas Village, from 1 to 20 December!

The heart of the old town will offer an unprecedented welcome during this winter period, set against a Christmas backdrop where chalets, Christmas trees, lights, and the delicate flavours and scents of the season will rekindle visitors’ festive spirit and delight their palates.

Every evening, whether at the Christmas Village or the Advent Windows, enjoy a convivial moment in the company of local organisations or the residents of Avenches.
Activities for children, organised in collaboration with ARPEJE (the Regional Association for Children and Young People), are also scheduled from Wednesdays to Sundays throughout December.

The celebrations will kick off with a musical performance on Tuesday 1 December 2026, featuring the Fri-Gospels Singers, who are sure to warm up the square.

Once again this year, a covered area will ensure every visitor’s comfort, whatever the weather.

Entry to the Village is free, offering an opportunity to share cosy moments with family or friends, whether over a glass of mulled wine, playing a giant board game or enjoying some music.
Every day, surprises await you, and every night, the twinkling lights will remind you that Christmas is a time for sharing and joy.
