The tour begins at the “Bäsetöri”, a wind-swept passageway that takes you straight into the medieval core. As you wander through the atmospheric alleys, you discover the origins of the name “Biel/Bienne”, the meaning of the Roman spring and the eventful past of the town, once owned by the former Prince-Bishop of Basel.
Among the highlights stands the Ring – the oldest square in the city and often described as its romantic heart. Between local anecdotes and historical tales, participants enjoy a genuine journey through time, enriched with regional insights and unexpected discoveries.
