Swiss parks
The regional nature parks of national importance recognized by the Swiss confederation are best known for their scenic beauty, rich biodiversity and valuable cultural assets. The Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) and the involved cantons, member municipalities and private foundations provide financial support for these nature parks.
Doubs Nature Park
The measures taken by the Doubs Nature Park in close collaboration with its public and private partners address three fundamental goals: preserving and enhancing nature and the landscape, supporting sustainable economic activities, and promoting awareness and education about sustainable development. Wide-ranging and dynamic initiatives have ensued, such as the environmental awareness program "Graines de chercheurs" (planting the seeds of research), identification and revitalization of sources, enhancing the population of Fritillaria meleagris, and labelling of regional products.
