Nº 3 Jura Bike

Basel – Nyon
Between Laufen and the Val-de-Travers, the Jura Bike route crosses forests, pastures and typical Jura valleys – a pure taste of authenticity for mountain biking enthusiasts.

Starting in Delémont, the capital of the canton of Jura, the trail climbs over the Col des Rangiers and follows the winding course of the Doubs River to the medieval town of St-Ursanne. Further south, the Franches-Montagnes region offers a peaceful landscape dotted with free-roaming horses and wide open pastures. The route then reaches the hidden lakes of Moron and Les Brenets, tranquil and secluded spots.

In the Val-de-Travers, the climb continues along the southern ridge of the Jura. Panoramic views open onto Lake Neuchâtel and the distant Alps. After crossing the Vaud Jura Balcony, the trail descends into the Vallée de Joux – one of the coldest regions in Switzerland – before making a final ascent to the Col du Marchairuz and ending on the shores of Lake Geneva.
