The Espace Horloger in the Vallée de Joux is a modern, interactive museum presenting the watch and the history of watch-making in the region.

The Espace Horloger in Le Sentier uses the latest interactive techniques to introduce visitors to the secrets of time. In this museum, complication watches, historical objects and virtual installations teach visitors about the various trades and the history of watch-making in the Vallée de Joux.

The Espace Horloger Vallée de Joux offers visitors of all ages, whether novices or enthusiasts, an opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of watchmaking.

On the first floor, the many professions required for the production of a watch, as well as the training required to attain these professions are presented. The visit continues to a small cinema where a short film presents watchmaking in its natural environment: the Vallée de Joux and the many aspects of its heritage.

On arriving at the upper floor, the visitor discovers the Gidéon collection, which outlines the international history of the origins of time measurement. This space is presented as a stroll in the Risoud forest. The last room unveils to the public the history of the Valley, its economic development, but also its know-how, highlighting watchmaking complications, a symbol of local talent recognised throughout the world.
