The Museum currently holds more than 8,000 works of art from the 1950s to the present day, a unique heritage that is regularly highlighted. As an institution focused on modern and contemporary art, it presents artists from this region and elsewhere in 4 to 5 exhibitions per year.
The Musée jurassien des Arts is composed of two contrasting spaces: an old mansion, built in 1903 by the Provost architect Charles Kleiber, and a new modern wing, created in 1996 by Bakker & Blanc. It houses several collections of artists from the Jura region and elsewhere. The Museum currently holds more than 8,000 works from the 1950s to the present day, a unique heritage that is regularly highlighted. As an institution focused on modern and contemporary art, it alternates between artists from this region and artists from other regions of Switzerland or even from abroad, with 4 to 5 exhibitions per year.
