The 1st of August is a bank holiday and an important event in the Swiss culture! From 18:30, the town of Murten invites you to its traditional evening dedicated to the birth of the Swiss Confederation.

18.30 Opening of the festival restaurant on the
Augustwiese, by the Gässliguuger Murten association
20.30 Musical opening by the Stadtmusik Murten and the Tambourenverein Murten
Welcome by Rudolf Herren, Murten Municipal Councillor
Ceremonial address by Daniel Eckmann, Murten, Senior Partner KMES, lecturer at the University of Bern, publicist
National anthem German - French
Musical finale by the town music band and the tambourine association
22.15 Fireworks on Lake Murten

- Access to the Ryf is restricted to traffic from 7.30 pm to 11 pm.
- Fireworks may only be set off at the designated fireworks sites. It is strictly forbidden to set off fireworks in the old town and in the immediate vicinity of the marina and the lake shore.
