Sportive and cultural, the "sister" towns of Estavayer-le-Lac and Payerne offer a compendium of activities south of Lake Neuchâtel.
Estavayer-le-Lac
True capital of water sports and mainly wakeboarding, Estavayer-le-Lac is also an exceptional medieval village. Its small cobbled streets, its monuments full of history, the authenticity of its food but also its invigorating nature will make you change scenery at first glance.
Payerne
Built around its abbey – Switzerland’s largest Romanesque church dating from the 11th century – Payerne welcomes numerous pilgrims and history buffs. Aside from its buildings, this little town in Canton Vaud offers very many recreational and cultural activities, including karting, indoor and outdoor golf, museums and an adventure rope park.
