Whether you like wild nature and cool rivers or prefer to fish leisurely on the banks of an idyllic pond - the Jura offers opportunities for all fishing enthusiasts.

River fishing

The Jura is the perfect address for river fishing. Anglers have kilometres of waters at their disposal that are ideal for trout fishing. You only need a cantonal fishing licence to explore the five main rivers in the region. Short-term licences can also be purchased locally at these addresses.
The Doubs, Birs, Allaine, Sorne and Scheulte rivers all have their own character, and you can put together a superb fishing trip from this great choice.

Pond fishing

The region offers excellent opportunities for fishing in ponds. This type of fishing is particularly appreciated for its convivial atmosphere. It is easily accessible and simple, you don't have to be a "pro" to achieve success. A picnic and a few fishing rods provide fun for the whole family. Carp and pike are the main fish in these waters, which are usually managed by local clubs. Some ponds offer day tickets, others do not: Information on fishing licences
