For this new edition, the Fondation Rurale Interjurassienne joins forces with the Bison Ranch and their Saint-Bison festival to offer a whole weekend of new itineraries as well as activities with themes and animations to discover the region on the theme of the terroir.

On the occasion of the JuBénales, all lovers of local produce and gourmets from the Chasseral Park and the neighbouring cantons will once again be able to come and discover the region in a new way.
Wishing to highlight the products of the Grand Chasseral as well as the region, we are collaborating this year with the Saint-Bison (formerly known as the Fête des Bisons) at the Bison Ranch des Prés-d'Orvin, which is known for being a warm event with many original activities. The partnership between the activities of the Saint-Bison and our thematic hikes will offer a nice mix in terms of discoveries.
Centered around Biel, the Bison Ranch is ideally located, both for visitors and for partners and animators. Close to the city, but also in a rural area, this site is easy to access and allows many possibilities in the weekend program.
PROGRAM OF SATURDAY JUNE 10TH 2023
09h00 - 15h00 : Horseback riding to the Métairie de la Jobert, meal on the spot. With the AREC-JB.
10h00 - 11h30 : Animation to discover the bees and the honey of the region. With the SAJB.
10h00 - 12h00 : Journey around the water. With Karine Cavallaro.
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm : Walk to meet the wild plants. With Claudine Miserez.
3:00 pm - 5:30 pm : Gourmet walk with tasting of local products and initiation to wine tasting. With Jean-Daniel Giauque, from the Domaine du Signolet de la Neuveville.
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm : Workshop to discover the animals. With Karine Cavallaro.
PROGRAM FOR SUNDAY JUNE 11TH 2023
09h30 - 12h00 : Basketry initiation workshop. By Karine Cavallaro.
10:00 am - 11:30 am : Discovery of the region's cheeses with a blind tasting. By Agnès Spielhofer, O'lait.
10:00 am - 1:00 pm : Gourmet bike tour. Accompanied by a guide of the Grand Chasseral.
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm : Digestive walk to discover the gentian. By Elodie Gerber.
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Hike to discover medicinal plants and tasting of herbal teas. By Mélanie Plüss.
2:30 - 4:30 pm: Workshop on my log cabin and respectful use of wood. By Nicolas Aufran.
Animations Saint-Bison during all the weekend: Film and autonomous visit of the bison, axe throwing, music bands, camping area, bison meal + French fries, possibility to grill saveloys on fireplaces, pony rides for children, visit of the animals of the Ranch (pigs, hens), BernRando stand with sign painting workshop for children, etc.

- Online registration will open at the beginning of April on this website.
- When registering for a hike, the participant is automatically entered in the raffle of the same day to win local products. For visitors to the Saint-Bison who wish to take part in the raffle, the registration fee is CHF 5.
- Participation in the St. Bison's Day activities: no registration is required, admission to the St. Bison's Day, the activities and other festivities are free. During the JuBénales, the range of activities offered to the public is extended. Only drinks at the Bison Ranch restaurant will be charged.
