The CDN was built by Mario Botta around Friedrich Dürrenmatt's former home in the green Hermitage Valley. On the occasion of the centenary, the museum is highlighting this unique heritage by opening the doors of the writer's and painter's splendid study every Saturday. Other living spaces are now open to the public, including his library, while his swimming pool has been transformed into a theatre stage.
In the exhibition rooms, the public is invited to discover the museum's collections with the new visitable repository or the links between Dürrenmatt and Japan, Senegal or Norway thanks to an interactive world map.
