The VCV runs from Villeret in the Grand Chasseral (760 metres) to Chasseral (1607 metres) and back to Villeret. The race offers in turn steep paths, magnificent Jura forests, pastures, wooded pastures (other typical features of the region), not forgetting of course the Chasseral ridge which offers participants a sublime panorama.
VCV, three letters for a unique and original race. Organised for the first time at the beginning of September 2000 by a small group of running enthusiasts from Villeret and the surrounding area, the VCV is now part of the purest tradition of mountain races. A small Sierre - Zinal for some ... a challenge similar to that of the Val de Travers for others, the Villeret - Chasseral - Villeret foot race is finally unique in its kind, and not only in the region. Over the years, the VCV has earned its place in a calendar of running events that is as varied as it is extensive. Combining popular fervour and conviviality, it is aimed at both elite athletes and simple walkers.
