
In 2026, Switzerland will host the Scientific Instrument Commission (SIC) International Symposium for the first time. This global event will bring together specialists in the history of science, scientific and technical heritage conservation, museologists and researchers from leading international institutions in La Chaux-de-Fonds and Neuchâtel.
Organised by the Association Automates & Merveilles in close collaboration with the University of Neuchâtel and the Haute École Arc, as well as prestigious partners such as CERN, the International Watchmaking Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds (MIH), EPFL, the Geneva Museum of the History of Science and ETH Zurich, this symposium is a unique opportunity to discover Switzerland's technical and scientific heritage in the fields of watchmaking, microtechnology and scientific precision.
