The Chasseron (1607m)
Sportive loop circuit hike of 12 km departing from Sainte-Croix taking hikers to the heart of the Jura massif.
The route starts off towards the Casba and Les Avattes. It continues on the Petites Roches and then towards the Pierre de la Paix (Stone of Peace), a place of great energy. A final push takes the walker to the summit of the Chasseron, behind the restaurant of the same name. From there, an incredible vast panorama overlooking Switzerland and France makes the effort worthwhile! The way back leads via La Merlaz and Le Sollier.
The circuit offers numerous opportunities to stop for food and drink at restaurants dotted along the way.
