For its 300th anniversary, on the coming 7, 8, 14 and 15 September, the Château de Delémont will be in festive mode. A full programme of events has been organised by the town of Delémont, owner of the château, working together with various local organisations, and will be put on for the public.
Built in 1724, the Château de Delémont used to serve as the summer residence for the Prince-bishops of Basel, boosting the strategic position of the town. This emblematic monument is now getting ready to unveil its secrets through events that will take place over these days of celebration.
The programme includes:
- Guided tours\, given by experienced guides and budding\, young guides\, will reveal the mysteries of the château and its former inhabitants.
- Magnificent exhibitions
- Captivating talks
- Stunning concerts and shows
- All kinds of events
- And open days to explore several parts of the château that are usually closed to the public.
And, to cap it all, a grand sound and light show, never seen before, will be projected onto the southern façade of the château, turning this historic treasure into a lively and vibrant canvas.
